COINiD → Sparrow

Sparrow is a modern, open-source desktop wallet with the clearest restore experience of any wallet — it shows exactly which derivation path and script type you're using.

Only download Sparrow from sparrowwallet.com and consider verifying the release signature. Never enter your recovery phrase anywhere else.

First, get your 12-word recovery phrase from COINiD Vault — see the steps on the main page (Vault → Settings → Backup).

Restore your COINiD phrase

  1. In Sparrow: File → New Wallet and name it.
  2. In the wallet's Settings tab, set Script Type to match your COINiD wallet:

  3. Choose New or Imported Software Wallet → Mnemonic Words (BIP39) → 12 words → enter your phrase (leave the passphrase empty) → Create Keystore.
  4. Confirm the derivation path matches the table, click Import Keystore, then Apply and set a password. Let it sync — it can take several minutes before your balance and full transaction history appear.

Still zero balance after syncing for a while? Wrong script type. Sparrow keeps the seed you entered — just change Script Type in Settings and re-apply, or create a new wallet with another path.

After migrating

Your paper backup still controls these funds — keep it safe. Recommended: create a fresh Sparrow wallet (new seed) and send your funds to it. Your COINiD phrase has spent years stored on a phone — retiring it costs one transaction fee.
